A nice little compass that does what it's supposed to do. Also, the mirror can double as a signal mirror for a survival pack.

4good deal for priceApr 20, 2013

We wanted this for a survival pack, and feel it is more than adequate for our needs. It is not as well made as an expensive model, but works fine. It did show true north, and was easy to read. I don't think it would easily break.

signaling mirror is solid. item quality is solid. i dont have a single complaint about the unit. not top of the line obviously, but a solid all around compass for hitting the trail.

Good price and great to have in your bug out bag. It has a signaling mirror if needed and I bought it really for that purpose. It has sufficient luminosity. A good buy.

3Okay CompassApr 09, 2013
By Allison
I have seen better sighting compasses, but I needed a cheap one for a survey project so I purchased this one. If it got too close to metal (or my trowel), my directions would be all off. I would suggest investing in a better one,
