4must order at least a size smaller.Mar 29, 2011
By Sabrina Ellis
i use to own a pair of flightline boots that looked like these and i loved them. i got them overseas and ended up growing out of them so i wanted to replace them. saw these and started reading all the reviews. i was concerned on the size because everyone said they were too big ranging from 1/2a size to a size and 1/2. i decided to go one size smaller than i would normally get. i wear a mens size seven, went with a six and i think i did well. maybe could have gone a half size smaller but it's not that big a deal. the leather is VERY stiff. as most military style boots are. there is no getting around it you just have to break them in. overall i am very happy with these boots. hope this helps someone.

1Total crap boots!Jan 04, 2007
By Sachbvn
I thought I was going to save a few bucks and buy my next Combat Boots from Amazon to get the cheapest price. The seller was totally fine, however the boots were total crap. The leather was unbelievably stiff and hard, so I thought I would just use a ton of leather conditioner... about 15 applications and I don't think it made a difference. I put the boots on to try and "break them in" - lost cause there, but in addition, nearly half the eyelets came right out of the lether, first or second time trying the boots on. I would have returned the, except I had shined and polished, and oiled the boots so much. Don't buy, stick with Altama or another Military Issue brand boot. I am sticking with my Altama pair I have had for 7 years!

5Real Leather + Durability = These BootsJul 04, 2012
By Steven B.
I purchased these boots recently and they got here exactly two days after I ordered them. Very tough, and real leather, that makes a very durable boot. I was very pleased with the quality, and overall I have found these to be a very good purchase and would recommend these to anyone who wants well made boots, and shoes that are light on your pocket (for those who are in to real quality), as well as fashionable.

I mean, for $50/$60, what better boots to buy!

4My moon bootsJul 02, 2011
By reybabyy
These were the first boots that I ever bought, if I remember correctly. They first sent me the wrong boots, but when I got this boot I was pretty content. This boot was pretty sturdy and it's a pretty good looking boot. This boot also got me through hiking in Europe [and I can still kick down doors! maybe not haha, but they're still sturdy]. My friends nicknamed it the moon boot because they were pretty clunky that I'd always somehow step on someone's toe when I wore them. These boots are pretty fashionable as well as practical.

Now the downsides. These boots run pretty big. I wear a size 8-8 1/2 normally in other shoes, and there is about half inch space left in the toe area. My other concern is that it will fit more comfortably if I tightened the shoelaces, but if I do it takes a while to undo later to take them off [maybe I'm being a little too lazy?]. Boots that I have bought more recently have a side zipper for easy access, but these are more fashion boots and less real authentic combat boots.

Sad to say, that I traded in my moon boots that are a little less clunky and a little more versatile, but I will definitely still love my clunky moon boots. I guess my advice would be that if you want something that is just for looks then don't get this boot, but if you want it for practical reasons get it.

4they look quite hard-wearingJan 13, 2011
By Graciela Rojas
I got these for my dad though I wasn't sure about the size, and they are a little bigger than expected, but still he liked them and says that his toes feel really comfortable in these shoes. The only thing is that they will take some time to break in, but that's something that my dad can manage quite well. Another thing is that they are made in China, but practically everything comes from China these days, so what can you do? What remains to be seen is how long they will last.
