5Igloo Roller MaxCold 70Jul 04, 2010
By Iggy ""King of the Yellow River""
We bought this cooler 4 or 5 years ago because we travel often for weekend getaways. We really have enjoyed it so much, that when the handle broke, I ordered a replacement part from [...]. They have a similar product, however it is very wide in comparison. The tallness and deep lid feature allows for filling it up to the brim and then some. It does keep ice much longer than most by far. The claim to 5 days is probably a full chest of nothing but Ice, and not in direct sunlight. It really doesn't matter anyway. It's a great product and very convenient. The handle slides up quite a ways for ease in pulling it, without having to been down. In terms of the price, well it is expensive, but if you can get it on sale, do so. I recommend the 70 QT over the 60 because of the deeper lid, allowing for overfill. Don't you hate it when you fill a cooler, add Ice and you can't close the Lid? Well not likely with this one, sure you could do it, but the deep lid lets you get away with it more often than not. Is it heavy when you fill it? Of course! It's a 70 QT cooler, not 30. Need an easy tranport cooler? Buy this one. I did and 5 years 25,000+ miles later, I bought the replacement handle. I hope this review was helpful. I understnad not everyone has the same needs, however, It is a great product. The Best cooler I have ever owned.

5Great for travel!Jan 10, 2008

We have really found this chest to be useful for travel. We don't need ice for 5 days but it keeps frozen things FROZEN for over 2 days and cold things cold. Easier to pick up than a wider cooler as well.

5Worth the moneyMar 09, 2012
By J. Mason "smart shopper"
I've had this cooler for 4 or 5 years, the handle is getting to where it sticks so you have to keep it clean and lubericated, the lid does not lock closed either but this thing keeps ice 2 to 3 times longer than any other cooler i've ever had. it gets opened a lot during the day but when you leave it for the night and there is any amount of ice left in it you can bet there will still be ice in the morning. Works best if you cool it the night before you intend to use it and keep it cold and full. I would recomend this cooler.

5Awesome coolerMay 27, 2012
By G. Smith
I've been using this cooler for about 5 years. We camp all times of the year and this keeps everything cold for several days. I use a frozen milk jug of water for block ice and have returned from a 4 day trip with ice still in the cooler, and that's with 90+ temperatures. I like this cooler so much that I bought another MaxCold cooler to use along with this one.

A critical thing for any cooler is to try to keep it in the shade as much as possible. That will greatly extend the life of the ice.

5Great Cooler for PicnicsJul 04, 2012
By Becky Buckeye "black dog lover"
This cooler is ideal to load up with stuff for a picnic. I was a little worried because it was tall/deep but it turns out that it works well to put the beverages in the bottom and the food on top. So the food comes out for the picnic and the beverages remain ice cold and are easily accessed.(and more can be added) The cooler held ice for, 4 days in 90+ degree heat. Very pleased with purchase.
