Perfect for turning into a mash tun, or just as a water cooler.Mar 21, 2012

I'll just start out saying that yes, this is a water cooler and yes it's great build quality makes it great for that purpose. If you're looking for a water cooler, stop reading now and buy it, it's well worth it with the cup holder.
For those of you looking for a potential mash tun for homebrewing, this is a GREAT choice. I wanted a 10-gallon size so I could mash high gravity 5 gallons batches and anything in between. The walls are thick on this, except where the spigot is, which is really good and thin for your bulkhead(you won't need a long pipe nipple for it). I got this at the really very low price of $39.98 and with Free shipping(or Prime) it's great. The seat top is really sturdy and the whole thing holds heat very well. All in all, a great buy.

I purchased the Igloo 10 gallon seat top beverage dispenser to use for converting starch to sugar in my home brewery. The included spigot was easily removed and replaced with a weld-less ball valve. The igloo's insulated walls do a great job of retaining the desired malting temperature for over an hour. I would purchase this item again and recommend it to anyone starting off in all-grain brewing.

I think everyone in america has had personal experience drinking from one of these igloo coolers. You cant go wrong with a classic design. I picked it up for $40 on here so look for the deals on them when they come around.

I bought this to convert to a mash tun for home brewing. The built in spigot came out easily and once I picked up the parts to install a ball valve and bazooka screen it worked perfectly. My first brew was much easier and in the 75 minutes of mashing I only lost 2 degrees.
